Our simulation technology focuses on the enhancement of Commercial Driver Training efforts for non-standard, specific training challenges and requirements. This technology utilizes Driver in the Loop motion simulators with Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Haptic Feedback wearables and ‘wrap around’ visuals for enhanced immersion during unique training scenarios. Existing technologies are great for standard training scenarios, but lack accuracy and immersion for several critical training challenges. Current training simulators utilize small, flat monitors which limit the simulators uses due to visual accuracy. With the integration of VR and surround screens, our technologies make it possible to display accurate and dynamic visuals to the driver during non-standard driving situations like reversing a truck with a trailer or exiting the vehicle to do a pre-drive inspection. With our solutions, critical simulation visuals remain accurate for dynamic driver positions, changing fields of view and large directional changes of visual focus. This technology also enables virtual mirrors to reflect correctly which is critical for many training scenarios. Accurate visuals combined with 4 post motion simulators and haptic wearables offers enhanced immersion which is not possible with the currently available training simulators today.

The founders have 35+ years of engineering experience designing, building and testing customers ideas. From designing proof-of-concept ideas to working with Driver in the Loop (DIL) simulators, the team at F&I is here to serve you. They have worked in some of the highest levels of professional Motorsports. This includes NHRA, SCORE Desert Racing, Stock Car, and Sports Car, with the majority of their careers spent working for champion level NASCAR teams. They have seen first-hand the benefits of data collection, simulation development and virtual reality simulators in racing. F&I is confident that these same technologies can be utilized for driver training and assistance with many other types of vehicles.
